Final evolution observation

Final evolution observation

Okay, one more bit about evolution and then I swear I’ll shut up about it-

Take sharks for example- From our understanding of the past, sharks have been around a whole lot longer than we have, so why haven’t they developed intellect like we have? If they did, they would’ve been able to accomplish their aquatic version of “great things”!

So did they max out on evolving because they were that “perfect eating machine” that Peter Benchley described? We managed to survive without much intellect for a long time before modern civilization, so what changed? Why did our species evolve to have free will and intellectual depth, while no other species did? Why are we the sole ones with advanced cognition among so many life forms?

Imagine if the weatherman was a squirrel or if you could get relationship advice from a rabbit? How about fashion tips from a peacock, music insights from a whale, or a Zoom meeting with a beehive? How would carnivores deal with the moral implications of hunting? Would they be vilified and driven to extinction by their cognizant prey?

Okay, this is getting weird – last evolution post I promise!!
